Do you take walk-ins?
We highly recommend for you to book a slot as they are filled up pretty quickly! Walk-ins will be welcomed until and unless the time slot is full.
What is the studio fee and what does it include?
Our studio fee is a one-time fee of $28 (paid during booking) which includes all the tools and services required for the pottery painting activity.
The studio fee includes the following:
- 1.5 hour painting session
- Use of tools and materials needed (brushes, aprons, palettes)
- 24 different underglaze colours for you to choose from (You may mix your own colours if you wish to!)
- Glazing and firing service in our kiln (done by us)
Do note that the studio fee excludes the price of the chosen ceramic piece.
Prices of the ceramic pieces start from $8, depending on the size and design, to chosen during session and payable after the painting session. The standard available ceramic designs include mugs, cups, plates. Other designs are seasonal and on rotation.
Booking confirms your seat at our studio during the specific slot. Do note that you might have to share a table with others in our cosy studio!
What modes of payment do you accept?
We accept payment via PayNow, bank transfer and cash only.
For booking of slots, only PayNow is accepted ($28 per person).
You may choose other payment methods for the payment of the pottery pieces chosen during the session.
Painting Session
Do I need to have any artistic skills or experience?
Not at all! The most important part of the session is for you to just relax, and enjoy the painting experience and the company you’re with, while creating a unique piece of work!
PotteryPlease! welcomes all skill-level artists of all ages, our friendly staff will be right there to assist and guide you in the process, ensuring a fun and stress-free painting experience!
What are underglazes?
Underglaze is a method of painting ceramic pottery pieces with the desired design before sealing the design with a transparent ceramic glaze and firing at a high temperature in a kiln.
Our studio uses non-toxic, water-based underglazes that are specifically used for ceramic pieces, it is not regular paint.
We have a selection of 24 underglazes and you're free to mix your own colours (with the existing colours) if you'd like!
Your experience at the studio will be using the underglazes, the firing will be done by us!
How long does it take to paint a pottery piece?
On average, painting a pottery piece takes around 1-1.5 hours, the time required varies depending on the size and the complexity of your chosen design.
Each of our studio sessions go for 1.5 hours. If you require more time, you may opt to extend your session for $5 per half an hour. Extensions are subjected to next slot's availability, our staff will advise accordingly.
What happens after I finish painting?
Once you have completed painting your pottery piece, you will leave your masterpieces with our friendly staff. We will glaze and fire the pottery over 1200 degrees in our kiln! After firing your masterpieces, they will be durable, functional, food-safe and vibrant in colour! It will also be microwave- and dishwasher-safe.
When can I collect my fired pottery?
Every piece of pottery has to be fired at extremely high heat over 6-10 hours and require a full day to cool down before removing them from the kiln. The entire process for a batch takes about 27 hours!
Your finished masterpieces will be ready to collect in about 1 month, depending on the studio’s schedule. We will send you a WhatsApp message once it’s ready for collection.

Can I host special events at PotteryPlease! ?
Absolutely! Whether it's a birthday party, team building activity, bridal shower, corporate event or any other occasions, pottery painting is a fun, memorable and unique activity for all. It makes a functional momento too!
You may simply make a booking for your desired number of attendees. Do note that the studio is a shared space with others as well.

Do you have items for babies and toddlers?
You may consider hand/footprint keepsakes by stamping the hands/feet of your little ones’ onto the ceramic pieces, creating a cute little memorable piece. Our underglazes are non-toxic and water-based, it can be easily washed off!
