Terms and Conditions

PotteryPlease! Terms and Conditions

By participating in PotteryPlease! activities, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Studio Experience

Our pottery painting sessions are self-guided, with instructional materials and support from our staff provided as needed. Templates or pre-made designs are not available, as the experience is meant to be personalised and creative.

To ensure the best results and maintain consistency, only studio-provided paints, pottery pieces, and glazes are allowed.

Pottery designs are subject to availability. We do not allow advance reservations or guarantee specific designs for your session. However, a variety of standard ceramic items such as mugs, cups, plates, and seasonal designs are available.

Participants are required to handle pottery pieces with care to avoid damage. Impact against surfaces may cause chips or cracks. Avoid unfired holding pottery by the handle, as handles are fragile and may break. Proper handling techniques are essential to maintaining the integrity of the pottery throughout the painting process.

1. Booking and Payment Terms

Deposit and Studio Fee: A non-refundable studio fee of $28 per person is required upon booking, which covers a 1.5-hour session, tools, 25 underglaze colours, glazing and firing. Pottery pieces are not included in this fee.

Reservations process: Reservations can be made via our website or by contacting us directly. Walk-ins are accepted subject to availability. Your booking will only be confirmed upon receipt of the studio fee. A confirmation email will be sent to you once the payment is successfully processed.

Booking guarantees a seat in the studio at the designated time. Participants may be seated at a shared table.

Payment Methods: Booking payments must be made via PayNow. Payments for pottery pieces on-site can be made via PayNow or cash. Please note that card payments are not accepted online or in-store.

2. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

The studio fee is non-refundable and cannot be used to offset the cost in the case of no-shows.

Cancellation and Rescheduling by Customer:

Participants may reschedule their session up to 24 hours in advance. One-time rescheduling is allowed, and the new session must occur within 3 months of the original booking. Sessions not rescheduled within this time will be forfeited.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session will not be eligible for a refund or rescheduling. Non-attendance due to illness or personal reasons does not qualify for a refund or reschedule unless otherwise agreed by PotteryPlease! on a case-by-case basis.

Cancellation by PotteryPlease!:

In the rare event that PotteryPlease! needs to cancel a session, participants will be notified as early as possible. In such cases, an option to reschedule to a future session date will be provided.

3. Late Arrival Policy

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants, we kindly request that you arrive promptly at your scheduled time. A grace period of 5 minutes will be offered for late arrivals; however, no additional time will be extended beyond the scheduled session.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, PotteryPlease! reserves the right to release your slot to walk-ins. Latecomers will be assigned to the next available session, subject to availability. Immediate accommodation for late arrivals cannot be guaranteed.

4. Breakage Policy

Participants are responsible for any pottery broken, damaged, or cracked during their session and will be charged based on the retail value.

Pottery is fragile, any impact during the session may result in hairline cracks that can lead to further damage or cracks in the final piece. All participants must inspect their pottery for pre-existing damage before starting and notify staff immediately if any defects are found to clarify responsibility upfront.

While we take all precaution to handle pottery with care, breakages may occur during the firing process, which involves temperatures exceeding 1000 degrees. Cracks may arise from hairline fractures that are not visible to the eye, or have been painted over and not noticed. These cracks may only appear after firing due to the pottery expanding and contracting in the kiln. Additional factors such as air bubbles from glaze repellence due to oil or pieces sticking to the kiln may also contribute to breakage, which is often beyond our control.

In the rare event of damage during firing, compensation will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Please note that refunds will not be provided, as the session itself was completed. PotteryPlease! is not liable for any breakages that occur during the production process, but we will make every effort to preserve your pieces in their intended condition.

5. Finished Artworks and Collection Policy

Painted pottery will be glazed and kiln-fired for a professional finish. Pieces may shrink slightly, colours may vary, and black specks may appear due to the glaze. Collection time is 1-2 months from the session date, subject to the studio’s schedule. You will be notified via WhatsApp when your piece is ready for collection.

Participants must collect their pottery within 2 weeks of receiving a WhatsApp collection notice. Collection is available Tuesday to Sunday, 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Pottery unclaimed after 3 months will be considered abandoned and may be disposed of or sold at the studio's discretion. PotteryPlease! is not responsible for any loss or damage after this period.

6. Indemnity, Conduct and Legal Terms

1. Indemnity and Liability

By participating, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless PotteryPlease! and its staff from any claims, costs (including legal fees), liabilities, or damages arising from your participation. We will take reasonable precautions to ensure safety, but participants are responsible for their own health and safety during the session.

2. Respectful Communication and Conduct

Respectful conduct to staff and other participants is expected. PotteryPlease! reserves the right to refuse service to anyone displaying inappropriate or offensive behaviour, ensuring a positive and welcoming environment for all.
